It’s hard for me to tell if I’m more influenced by David Carson’s work or the life he’s been fortunate enough to lead. Ray Gun Magazine is still one of the coolest things to ever have existed in the design world. And his work for big name companies in the action sports industry still is a major influence on myself, long before I knew who he even was. For a kid growing up re-drawing skateboards graphics, his career was something I wouldn’t have imagined possible.
